Sorry this took so long.
The assessment day consisted of a numerical test first of all – 20 questions in 20 minutes. If you don’t pass this, you get sent home straight away, but luckily everybody passed on my assessment day. The format is very much the same as the tests you take online using SHL.
We were then given a pack of documents (about 12 pages) on Sony. We had 30 minutes to prepare a presentation on a given question, and then had 10 minutes to present. After the presentation, there were 10-15 minutes of Q&A.
After that, there was a 30 minute competency based interview. No technical questions really, just basic questions about the Eurozone crisis/business story etc.
After lunch, we had a group exercise. The topic of conversation was again Sony and we had 2 minutes each to argue why our ‘’division’’ should be given a $500m allocation. After we all spoke, we had 15 minutes to come to an agreement between ourselves.
Hope this helps, let me know if I can answer any more questions!
hope you're ok.
I am having an AC for UBS Grad IBD Dubai. Can you tell me about your AC and the hints and tips to land the grad job there, i.e. subject of the presentation, the competency based interviews and the Group exercise.
Thank you in advance.
as i saw in the post on ubs ficc s&t in 2011, you seem quite knowlegable about ubs hiring in general and conversion rates in particular
so how do you estimate the conversion rates in equities to be this summer? above, at or below usual? which percentage would you approx. estimate?
btw: any idea on which desks have lower/higher conversion rates? (maybe you know how the desks get assigned to the sa class?)
thanks in advance for any assistance. your hints and inputs would be greatly appreciated
