Well, I agree with you there as I really love the 'unique' model look thats unconventional. And I think Jade very much fitted that bill, whereas Juste (who is beautiful, and no doubt model potential) was a bit too much of what I see in too many magazines. So Jade winning was refreshing.

Hello Abi. Hope its ok for me to post this here instead of that winter boot thread. Just if you were wondering I have since tried to contact Derby House via email to ask about shipping to the US and exchange rates since I am in the US. However I have still not gotten any reply from them in about 4 days now  Their site does say they ship to other countries like Europe, and countries further away (though America was not named specifically), but it may just take longer to get items. I'll give them a a while longer to reply but I am still glad you pointed me to them, I just hope I am able to get some boots from them thanks again!

I would never guessed you to have been a plus size model, though you could never tell from that picture; I'm confident that your figure is wonderful.
Why isn't relocating an option may I ask, or maybe this is something on the side? I am sure that working and moving to London would be extremely difficult due to the competition, though I wonder if plus size models are somewhat a niche?
And you need to clarify 'pageant'!

How long have you been modeling for? Something about what you wrote indicates you keep your options quite limited, I would be almost certain that there are many places who require photoshoots for collections, despite the time of the year. Perhaps you only enjoy modeling for specific people/companies?

- I'm Abi, and I am originally from a small town near Newcastle. Studied Economics at Loughborough up until recently when I finally realised it wasn't what I wanted to do. So i've pulled out and I am currently working in retail and keeping up my part time modelling work. Before anyone takes the pee, yes I am a serious model, not just friend's college work etc. I have an agency and go to castings.
I love makeup, i've taught myself pretty much everything I know, give or take a few tips from the experts at MAC and Illamasqua. I love using colour and experimenting and stuff like that to get the most out of my makeup.
I'm not a barbie though - I can go without makeup and regularly do! There's also a brain in my head 
Other than that I love cheerleading, ice hockey, dancing, field hockey, spending time with my friends and family and going to the occasional party.
