£2000? Ah OK, cool. I'm sure I read that the Australian government or something actually requires WHV travellers to have at least ~£3,300 in their bank account? Hmm, maybe I'll recheck this, but thanks for your help

I've read that I'd need about £5000 or so to get started, which includes the cost of flights, travel insurance, the working holiday visa as well as sufficient living costs (accommodation, food, etc) to get through the first few weeks if I don't find a job straight-away. Would you say this is quite accurate?

Ah sounds cool . Have you managed to keep in touch with the friends you made?
I want to go now to be honest, or as soon as possible, as I'm sick of my life situation but I just don't have the money to get started because no one in the UK will give me a decent job  . I'm gonna have to somehow come up with the money myself, or somehow beg my parents to give me some, hehe.

How long was you in Australia for last year? Did you do a working holiday or just a normal touristy one? And what was it like?
I'm thinking of doing a working one myself sometime. Maybe I've even talked to you about this before? I can't remember now (I know I did chat to someone in the Singles thread about it, but not sure if it was you or not).
