Sure the cuts don't help but they don't make it impossible. And no, that's not hypocritical, not in the slightest. Cuts have been made across the board, even to traditional Conservative areas like defence, yet he also wants a better armed forces for it, does that make him a hypocrite? No, because it doesn't always come down to how much money you throw at the department. He is clearly saying that some schools should diversify their interests away from solely being on academics towards academics and sports, irrelevant of their budget.
And you still haven't explained the 'Call me Dave' malarky.

Which brings us full circle around to my point- you evidently believe the only way to solve a problem is with money. The economic crisis isn't going away, that's obvious to all. The budget has to be balanced, that too is obvious. There will be cuts, we've known that for a long time. That doesn't mean the government shouldn't attempt to reform or change things at the same time as attempting to fix the economy, and they should be allowed to do so without this pathetic 'call me Dave' malarky. It doesn't even make sense- I've already pointed out that David Cameron doesn't even remotely resemble a populist.

I've never understood attempts to belittle David Cameron by refering to him as 'Call me Dave'. The government's unwavering approach to budget cuts as well as cutting the top rate of tax prove that he isn't a populist. But apparently the Prime Minister commenting on current affairs (who would have thought?), saying that Schools should diversify their priorities, throws all of that out of the window?
That pretty much sums up the lefts attitude to life- things can only be acheived if you throw a bucket load of cash at it.
