Overall the hes-east facilities were great so don't worry about that if that was in the way of you making a decision about York (I get the feeling that James and Goodricke are the best colleges for accomodation if you decide to go to). Personally I'm not sure about the course exactly as I'm not really that interested in management but more accounting/business finance so I'm still undecided about which uni to firm, but good luck with whatever decision you make!

Hey fellow York ABFM offer holder. Went to the management dept the other day at the uni, the facilities on the main campus were pretty average but the management dept at heslington east was pretty spectacular actually, was really impressed. The open day in total was fairly poor as they didn't even show us ABFM students the facilities we would be studying in on the other campus! I had to go at the end of the day by myself on the free bus!
Didn't really get much of a feel for student life in general but everyone seemed nice and as I said the management dept was really amazing as was Goodricke college which is right next to it. I almost forgot to mention that they've had a massive investment in new sports facilities (swimming pool, astroturf pitches and state-of-the-art gym) on the hes-east campus which will be ready for jan 2012 but until then there's free buses to the hes-west for the main facilities.
