Salaam bro,

My advice for MAT is to not overdo it. It's not the main thing that decides an offer, the interview is (although of course it is important). If you need to do a lot of work in order to get the interview, chances are the weaknesses may just come up at interview.
Of course it's good to do quite a bit of preparation - you'll want to and it does help get to know the format, where you are and all that. It's just it is much easier to overprepare - anything you don't do you can still use for interview preparation.
I'd recommend doing all the previous MAT papers you can find (I did all the ones on the site + 1999, 2001, 2002, 2006 which I found somewhere).

There were people with better as well as worse who got in for maths I don't think it's that possible to prepare. It's worth keeping your mind sharp but I don't think you can just practice and then perform well. I had no problem with the non-maths elements of interview (while the whole interview was simply maths questions - I think the way you present yourself and your confidence can have some effect on how they perceive you).
And sure that's fine

Hey. Erm for maths and further maths were as follows:
Maths AS:
C1 - 100
C2 - 100
S1 - 97
Further AS:
D1 - 92
D2 - 100
FP1 - 97
Physics and Biology were 268/300 and 269/300 respectively and Chemistry was 250/300.
I didn't do much 'preparation' for interviews. I tried some of the questions from this list of '99 interview questions' but I barely did any of them in all honesty. In retrospect probably just doing/looking at STEP I and MAT questions might help to improve your out-of-the-box logical thinking.
