Third Year - Shostakovich, Klezmer, aesthetics of opera, aesthetic of the Fantastic - from C.P.E. Bach to Berlioz, dissertation on how identity politics in musicology in the early 1990s affected how the relationship between music and power was understood, and an analysis portfolio on Schoenberg's operatic works - Using 1950s radical psychiatry to discuss Erwartung, and considering a scene of Moses und Aron in relation to Apophatic/Cataphatic theology.
