Sorry to be slow getting back. I've been shopping/packing for uni. I didn't do the Kaplan course so have no idea if it's worthwhile. I used th UKCAT 600Q book -- I can post this up to you if you don't have it -- and if you do it properly it's enough. I literally did it 9-6pm for more than a week (I think it was about a fortnight) breaking only for lunch and the odd cup of tea. I also went out for a run every day, early morning to try and stop myself from getting too down about it all. I also did the quickfire arithmetic on the GameBoy brain training game in the evenings and I'm convinced that was responsible for me getting 900/900 in the quant reasoning section.

Peninsula like big UKCATs so it would be worthwhile her trying to nail it. She needs to study that book until those Qs are second nature. Such a shame she missed by such a small fraction: they were very harsh not to let her in. Will they accept her as a resitter -- her old offer.

    Anyway, good luck.
  3. Hi - I don't know if you remember giving me some advice on results day - my daughter missed her offer (she got A*AB). She's decided to take up her insurance place but also resit and reapply to the 2 universities (Soton and Peninsula) that will accept an application. I know you aced the UKCat - do you have any advice, particularly if it's worth shelling out on a Kaplan course.
