Hi, If you don't mind me asking, did you apply to grad entry schools as a 3rd year during your degree or a degree holder (already had a degree when you applied)? Do you know if Imperial disadvantage non-degree holders (3rd years)?

I got 760 in my UKCAT. Lowest mark- 640. My understandng is you need a fairly high (+670) with nothing under 620. Imperial are quite a science driven univeristy, but they put experience as quite important. I've got 3 weeks work shadowing, 3 months volunteering, 1 year as a clinic receptionist and going to hit 1 year as a Ward Clerk by the time I start. You probably don't need as much, but a prolonged set of experience is necessary (it's pretty much necessary for all graduate entry posts)

Hi! Random question - I see on the GEM thread that you got an offer from Imperial - just wondering what you got in your UKCAT, what experience you have etc? I absolutely bricking it about my application for 2012 GEM.

I got a 2i not a 2ii.

Yeah, but why would they consider someone that doesn't meet their minimum requirements? I would've thought they'd just be eliminated straight away.

I only ask because I'm probably going to get a 2ii in Physics and it seems unfair to me that someone with 2i in golf course management would be considered, but not me!

If you don't mind me asking, how did you manage to get offers/interviews from those med schools with 2ii? Do you have an MSc?
