Yeah, that isn't me :P we must not know each other after all. It'd be nice to meet you sometime though, it's always nice to know more people in classes and things. Are you taking AN1002 next semester?

Hey, I was just trawling the St. Andrews section of the forum and realised you were a first year Classicist, with Ancient History. I do Ancient History too - wouldn't it be weird if it turns out we knew each other?
Sorry, this must seem slightly strange, I just thought it was a pleasant coincidence!

Hi, sorry if you are super busy and I can see that you have a lot of messages from other people asking for help, but I'm applying for Classical Civilisation and Film Studies for 2012 entry and I was just wondering what you thought of the Classics course? Is it more literature or history based? Sorry to bother you

hey there!
I have already posted my question in the "Any Germans around?"-thread (which you are obviously involved in), but meanwhile noticed that you have given quite much information about studying in St.Andrews as a German.
I dream of studying for an English degree there, but am likely to achieve an overall grade of 1,6 in the Abitur. The university website suggests that any applications from British students, achieving lower grades than A*A*A/ AAA have no chance to be successful. Will my application definitely be a wasted UCAS choice or is there finally any possibility for me to get in?
Would be great to hear from you!:-)

Aber 1.4 = A*A*A* ist echt unglaublich!!
(Original post by Sappho)
Do feel free to ask if you have any other questions.
Danke!

yeah, it seems to have changed
ok, I will fill it after consulting my predicted grades with teachers.
thanks

awww, I am so confused about this UCAS reference and predicted grades....
I just printed the 'advice and guaidance' for my referee and there is written:
''Predicted grades
Each pending qualification that the applicant has entered on their application will be listed in the reference section. The applicant will fill in the predicted results.''
That implies that I have to provide them but the referee will see them and have to confirm/comment them? or am I wrong?
Thank you for your willingness to help me!

hi,
this time I have a question about UCAS =)
If I am applying as an independent applicant, don't I have to enter the predicted grades?
This box is not marked as mandatory to fill, but will leaving this box empty reduce my chances to get into?

thaaaanks so much!
that's extremely helpful

so if I got an conditional offer for geography, how would it look like in my case?
85-90% in extended level geography, polish, english and basic level mathematics? or 85-90% just in geography? I'm asking about it because I wonder if I really reduce my chances to get into while passing not extended level in polish but basic level.
I hope I'm not boring you to death with my questions
