Chromebooks have very little space on them, only for essentially things like the drivers and os, everything else is done through cloud computing so your files and software are on a server somewhere in the world. It backs up by saving the data on a server somewhere.

Just remember from what I read before, but its the lowest end i7, and isn't a quad core like the other i7's on a laptop.

Yeah on-line but it usually costs in some cases and others are free upto a certain amount of space like drop box, unsure about phones.
They require constant wi-fi access to be used, which nothing today supports so is pointless.

You talking about cloud computing and chromebooks? If so, they are currently worthless and pointless and a waste of money as they need a good wi-fi connection constantly to work.
