Hi! Are you staying in Kinder E6?
-
Yeah I had red at one point too, looking back I cringe at photos haha. I hated Chemistry so much, we did the Salters B syllabus, I think if i'd been normal OCR Chemistry it would have been fine! Well English Lang is quite interesting I guess, the first year was quite boring, but Child Language Acquisition is relatively good. My friends hate Lit, but it doesn't sound too bad just boring like you said.
That's so annoying that they didn't even include it in the offer. I really should have dropped one of my subjects to give more time for the other two since i already have an Alevel in Maths but my college wouldn't let me since i'd only be doing two A-levels throughout second year.
I had health problems last year too, didn't think to tell the uni though, I think my college contacted the exam board to let them know but I still did quite badly in January haha!

awww thankyou I don't, I'm thinking of going back blonde, to at least be a little more natural haha, yours is lovely. And same, if I'm on student room then its with regards to uni, so it counts haha . I did Chemistry to AS, but now I do Biology, English Language, Maths & Further Maths, wish I'd took Psychology it looks great! And same, are you doing AQA Biology? The essay questions are a killer, in our mock I got 9/25 oooopsy

There I've accepted you and yeah i know what you mean so do I! and it's great, just only problem now is I don't know what I'll get the other A in haha. What subjects do you do at college?
-
I bet you'll be fine, my predicted grades are AAAB but they're not realistic at all haha, but since I did Maths and further Maths Ive already got an A for my Maths Alevel which makes me feel a bit better haha My insurance is Leeds Met, I was unsuccessful for Sheffield but not too bothered because I think I'll take a year out if I don't make Newcastle anyway. Bowsden Court looks so nice, I was going to go for it at one point. Yeah add me! www.facebook.com/llucyfox

Same I just hope I get the grades, really don't know what I'll do if I dont, I'd rather not go to my insurance. I've applied for Ricky Road, I know everyone says it's a dump but everyone who I've spoken too who went there said it's great, and also it's cheap how about you? And me neither apart from people from my college - quite a few are going, and yeah same!

Hey, I saw on the Newcastle Applicants threat that you've firmed Newc for Speech and Language Sciences So have I! I can't wait x

Hello I don't really know anyone on here so thought I'd say hi to someone with at least one common interest! x

Sadly, yes. There are a few noticeable examples. Dairy products for instance, are very expensive, but in contrast with for example France, most farmers can actually afford to maintain a farm without abusing the animals, but they usually need a full-time job in addition to managing a farm.
Alcohol is heavily taxed, thus a pint might cost you £10 in the finest parts of Oslo, but £7-8 elsewhere. Where in Norway did the fellow live? We do also have only one liquor store franchise, and anything having an alcohol content percentage beyond 60 is classified as illegal drugs.
Groceries, alcohol, housing, etc. is noticeably cheaper in the UK, but electonic products are only less expensive marginally. In Norway, you should earn at least £30k-35k a year in order to live satisfactory, but then again, minimum wage for an untrained 18 years old person is £13.50-ish.
If you're planning to go to vacation in Norway, try to avoid shopping as much as possible, because you're better off buying clothes and so on in London for instance. Yes, and bring a lot of money.
To compare, our maintenance support is ~£10,000 a year. (40%grants/60%loans), and many students have to work part-time in order to afford to live there. This applies especially to students in Bergen, Oslo and Trondheim, where some landlords are exploiting desperate students who have been struggling to find a flat.
Hope my non-proofread post written at 2:10 am is helpful to you.
