Hey! I have an interview with Slaughters in the new year for work experience. Would appreciate any advice?

Hey!

I saw your post on interview/AC experiences and I was wondering if you could give any advice on the Freshfields interview process?

From my conversation with GR, I understand that this year it's some sort of drafting exercise, followed by two interviews (one personal, one commercial). Is the commercial interview based on a case study you have time to read over, or is it more random questioning on a topic?

Would really appreciate any help/insights you can offer!

Sorry this must seem like a random message. I've been a really keen reader of TSR Training Contract 2014 thread. However until now I haven't had the guys to become a member haha.

I was wondering, if it's ok with you, if I ask you about your Freshfields rejection. Obviously please say no if
being too forward!

Basically, I did my interview at Freshfields at a similar time to you & applied at a similar time. However I aam yet to hear anything from the firm! I was told I won't be contacted until September as I'm a penultimate year student but it's a bit unnerving. A rejection now would end the wait! I thought they'd give me a nudge in either direction.

I just wanted to know how soon after your interview were you rejected? And are you also a penultimate year student/ applied before to Freshfields?

Your help would be really appreciated!

Hi there,

Did you receive feedback from your assessments from last year? If so, did you discuss what you would need to develop further to warrant reapplying?

We do allow candidates to reapply, although we do not see any merit in a candidate re-applying more than once, so it will depend if last year's application was your first.

I hope this is of help - happy to discuss further if anything is unclear though.
