I think it could come down to self-studying although I hope not. If I do, how much will this affect me compared to having a teacher teach it? Is it beneficial since it promotes independence and self reliance or is will it simply take me longer to understand things since I don't have a teacher explaining?

sorry for not replying, I didn't even see the message down there, I'm a new to all of this haha! But thank you very much for the information. I think I may consider double maths and physics next year, and so I may have some questions. A few questions, if I may: where are you applying to read maths? I wonder how I'm going to try and persuade my school to teach it next year, I'm assuming a teacher wouldn't teach me it on their own, would they? What if I tried to persuade a few other students to take it? Any suggestions on that front? Cheers again, sorry for the late reply

Hi mate/ matette, are you the one who said you had/are studying advanced applied maths? If so, how did you actually study it? If it was from school, did your school offer it or did you have to persuade a teacher?
