  1. Hey

I'm sorry but I haven't visited Manchester as I haven't even applied there haha. But I went to see UCL last week. The department at UCL seemed fairly okay nothng special though. Also it is taught in the Roberts building and it does have a cafe. Personally, I didn't like UCL much as the open day didn't really persuade me to go there. To be honest I think it depends on what you are looking for. If you want to go somewhere with a high reputation then I would say UCL. If you want soemwhere that has better departments and even a pilot plant then I would say Manchester. Did you want to do an industrial placement at all or a year abroad?

Sorry for the late reply I thought I posted it on your page but put it on my own :/
  2. According to my teacher, Manchester's Chem Eng department is way more better than UCL's. However, UCL is better in overall.
For me, I think I will go for overall prestige instead of department.
  3. Manchester's definitely had a better department overall. THINK the the ChemEng department had their own building with better facilities (e.g. they have a pilot plant while UCL don't) while UCL's department is just a couple of rooms that are apparently being constantly refurbished; seemed very sloppy to me.

Of course it might have improved since I visisted last year but I'd still go for Manchester if going purely by department.

    Hope this helps~
  4. Hey, Interview at manchester was good, most of it is just showing you around and telling what its about, can't help you on interview really because they just ask you standard questions so you can't really go wrong!
