hi,

i was looking through the manchester medicine 2011 thread and you were the only international student i could find who actually lived in the UK prior to starting uni ... i also am an international student but i live in the UK like you ... my question is, when you informed the uni that you will be self-funding your studies, did they ask for information about your/your parents' financial ability to pay? eg. bank statements etc. or did you just have to pay 1/3 of the fees at registration and nothing else was required ... i'm a bit lost at the moment so you'll be helping me a lot ... thank you!

Wow i just looked at the document about Leicester med school that you posted on somebodies wall about their point system. It is really good because I only got 3 A*s at GCSE i thought i would only score 6 ish out of 10 but apparently 3 A* a long with a AAA prediction gives you 10 points :O I am sorry this is really random because i feel my GCSEs are kind of rubbish for your average medical applicant.
