Apologies for the neg, I'm using my phone and tried to pos rep you I'll make it up when I can rep you again!

Ingredients
300g/10 oz/2 cups self-raising flour
1tsp baking powder
125 g/ 4 1/2 oz/ 1/2 cup caster sugar
1/2 tsp mixed spice
75g/ 2 3/4 oz pecan nuts
2 eggs, beaten
75 ml/ 3 fl oz milk
100 ml/ 3 1/2 fl oz plain yogurt
4 tbsp maple syrup plus extra for brushing
85g/ 3 oz butter melted

Preheat oven to 190 C/ 375 F/ Gas mk 5
Combine flour,baking powder, sugar and mixed spice and sift into a large bowl, then add the nuts

in a separate bowl or jug combine the eggs, milk, yogurt and syrup, then stir in the butter.
Pour onto the dry ingredients and stir together until just mixed (don't over do it, lumpy is good)

Spoon big dollops of the mixture into prepared muffin pan

Bake for about 20 minutes or until risen and golden

brush with maple syrup while still warm

I'm trying to find a thread, I think it would most likely have been in this forum, about international aid work. It wasn't a typical one, in the sense that it was explaining about the uselessness of it, and why 'there is nothing aid worker can actually do to help' - pretty grim, but it was a really well written thread and had affirmative replies. Thing is, i've tried searching for it, but haven't really produced what I wanted. It was quite a popular thread, but it was quite a while ago (not long enough ago for it to have been deleted I don't think...)

I was wondering if there was anything you could do to help? Point me in the right direction? No worries if not, just a query.

There's a guy at my tt club who's really fat and sweats a LOT. He leaves sweat drops all over the table, his bat and the ball. This means his sweat inevitably finds its way to my bat and hands. The other day, I noticed he had a huge sweaty wet patch around his crotch and his flies were undone (they usually are). It was hard not to look. Sorry for telling you all this btw.
