  1. Hi,

I am interested in completing the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. I studied Technology and Business Studies (BSc) graduating in 2007 and have since been working as a business advisor.

I have a few questions and hope that you can help:

    1. Do I need to have completed an Honours Degree, or a degree in a relevant area?
    2. What is the average completion time of the diploma?
    3. Do I need to be sponsored by an organisation or can I complete the course in my own time whilst working at the job I am currently in?
    4. How do I complete the coursework/exams? Is is through you or do I need to attend a college to do so?

Look forward to hearing from you,

    Thanks in advance
  2. hi i wondered if you could assist with my query http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/show....php?t=1476066 thanks.

    About me
The CII is the world’s largest professional body for risk, insurance and financial planning. We have 95000 members in 150 countries, making us a global profession. There are still great opportunities to travel with your career and, if money floats your boat, there’s plenty of that too.

Risk covers a whole host of careers, including underwriting, broking, risk management, loss adjusting, claims management, plus support functions like marketing, HR, IT, finance and business development.

Our Discover Risk campaign gives you the lowdown on the profession, which employs a third of all financial services employees. You can read about the people who joined from school, college, uni and from other careers.

The Personal Finance Society (PFS) is part of the CII and is the UK’s largest body for financial advisers. Right now, there are some big changes in the financial advice sector, which means some great opportunities for you to kick start a career in finance that makes a real difference to peoples’ lives.

    Other Information
If you want to ask the experts about a career in risk or financial planning, you can get in touch here or find us on campus between September and February. We visit around 40 unis with young professionals who’ve been there, done it, travelled and earned a fair wedge in the process, so why not come along and get your questions answered.
We also do around 50 school events a year – if you’re interested in getting us along to your school, drop us a line and we’ll see what we can do.
Just one more thing - we’re launching a new low-cost membership for full-time students before the 2010/11 academic year kicks off. This is a great way to get talking to professionals close to where you’re based and get all the sector intelligence that you’ll need to impress at interview.
