This Friday... When's yours?

I'm undecided yet. The last summer holidays i worked in my community pharmacy for four weeks and I liked that, so a hospital environment will be an interesting experience.
I don't know what you mean by the bands or 'levels' your referring to? Enlighten me

I know, I just looked at her like this
The OU degree will probably be about 4 years, the one I'm on now is 9 months. So I'm expecting to give birth at the end of it. I'm really, really not a genius. Your unis sound cool, and I hope you get your grades (you sound pretty intelligent, so I'm sure you'll be OK ).
Ah, the volunteering isn't quite like that, I'll be doing wildlife conservation work in Dorset. I've just realised when I tell people that I'm volunteering on an island, people think I'm off to Madagascar or something...I wish...

Yeah definitely, all job sectors are taking a good hit. I'm gonna make sure I get plenty of hospital/community placements during years 1 and 2 so that I make myself more attractable for the company welcoming pre-reg pharmacists onboard. I got a hospital pharmacy placement coming up during the summer holidays through my uncle (who is a technician in the pharmacy) so all these small experiences will prove invaluable for the road ahead....... You got any plans for placements?

At least that's better than someone saying just before the exam "My economics paper was so good, I wanted to get it back to read it all over again". Geography went OK, it was a 2 1/2 hour exam and I finished after about 2 hours, although I filled out the entire answer booklet so I think I wrote enough. After 6th form, well I will carry on with my Open University degree in Environmental Science/Studies (I don't have to decide which until August), which I started in February, just in case I wasn't stressed enough.
As it's OU, I'm not so bothered about grades, but I got a B in my English Language A level last year, so I'm hoping for an A in Geography and something above a U for Law. I got full marks in Geography in January and a U in Law, so I'm desperately trying to bring Law a bit higher up. Which Unis have you applied for? I used to think about applying to places like York and Cardiff, but with my appalling track record in Law it's probably just as well I didn't.
Ah, your Summer plans sound so idyllic. I will be trying to get work and continuing my degree, though I also want to learn Spanish and volunteer on an island. So yeah, I'm going to be busy this Summer, though it should all be cool with any luck. I will also be learning how to cook though!

I'm sure you'll be fine. A good tip I generally find is to spend a long time on the WAY to the exam, so you kind of resign yourself to doing it and don't get so stressed. I just sat A2 Geography today and I think I did OK. I've got law on Friday though What are you going to get up to in the holidays?

It was ok, it all just depends on grade boundaries because they are very unpredictable.
