Out of interest, do you actually fault Israel for anything? Most people would find many faults with the military policies of every single country in the world, but from my knowledge, you've only defended every (military) action the Israeli state has ever taken...

Well the raiding of the flotilla for a start is one example of Israel blocking humanitarian aid. The argument that Israel has to blockade all ships including humnitarian aid because it wouldn't be a total blockade otherwise is risable and I'm not going to bother refuting, suffice to pointout the obvious circular logic and the fact you're suggesting it is legal to block aid. The fact that the ships left ports that checked the boats to a recognised international standard would suggest no arms were onboard, and if they really wanted to they could have boarded the ship while there were in Israeli waters and checked them there.

But I suspect you're not interested in that.

I didn't reference the "human rights experts" you discuss. I was only looking at the Palmer report and the two reports it cites. The distinction between the naval blockade and the land blockade is a minor one that Israel distinguishes and the Palmer report accepts while Turkey rejects, considering any restriction of entry to be a blockade. Incidentally, the blockade is illegal if it is designed to harm the civilian population, which Israel admits is designed to do. And of course, no firearms or terror materials were found on the flotilla, so ipso facto the blockade should no legally have been applied to it. I don't see where there is scope to disagree. A blockade, by land or sea, that blocks humanitarian aid is illegal under maritime, internatioal, UN and even Israeli law. The Palmer report is a whitewash.

The Palmer report isn't really a good test of the legality of the blockade- it's not a court or authority with any powers to compel witnesses. If you check the Israeli Commission or the Palmer report's summation of it, Israel admits that the blockade is designed to be economic warfare to harm the elected government of Gaza and that non-security blockades are part of this strategy. Doesn't seem very lawful to my basic understanding of international law.

Haha that is so true. I've noticed what you say about Seutonius too. However, we should be extremely worried that 95% of the anti-israel mob on TSR are squatters (that's all they do on threads) and so mindless. If TSR is a microcosm of what's going on in real life, we should be very concerned for what will be in the future. All it takes is a catalyst for these people to 'awaken' their brainless beliefs in real life as opposed to TSR (which takes much less courage).
