Another thing, i hear they're gonna build a new campus that's opening up in 2012 and another building in 2011. What are they?

Need money? Hey, why dont you try the access to learning fund from the student union advice centre. It worked for me! I once got £800. woohoo!
check: http://wwwm.coventry.ac.uk/postgrad/...rningFund.aspx
U fill out a form, state why u need money e.g. "I am currently on a pg course with no funding. I am currently unemployed and cannot claim any state benefits because of my status as a full time student. I require £50 pw living costs (£200 a month) over a 10 month period = £2000. This will be for travel costs, food and some clothes. I would be ever so grateful if you accept my request."
2-3 weeks later, a letter through the post. "We are delighted to let you know we will accept your request and you shall receive the sum of £XXXX to be paid to you by the XX/XX/2010!
Bt u need to show them proof that you really need money. e.g. bank statements to show ur low on cash.
Try it Jess! you won't regret. Ta xx

Haha yep In my undergraduate I was in lectures with over 300 people because of shared modules - my course only had 20!
Trees, bank account, I don't care where it grows as long as I get some! I need to be working full time, or even part time, but I just can't fit it in around uni
Hehe thanks, I hope we do too Any questions, give me a bell!

Haha yeah, I know the feeling! I jumped right in after my undergraduate and I just want cash to grow on trees!
Each module is made up of people from different courses - some just have Accounting & Financial Management students, whereas some will have Banking students or Finance students as well. The more students, the bigger the lecture theatre - I have two 'big' lectures in the theatres (though the related seminars are smaller and in classrooms). My audit class has around 50 people, my quantitative methods class has over 200.
Hehe I don't imagine their names are common knowledge out in the real world, but they're certainly respected within BES and are important to the course. Dr. Chin Bun Tse might be the man you're thinking of - he is a Financy person that hasn't really featured in my studies so far (as senior course rep, I know a lot of the top people in EFA) so I don't know him that well

hi! thanks for the fast reply!
The other day i did infact call the university and one of the regular PG people answered the phone. The person said that i didn't require any previous knowledge in the subject which contradicts the entry requirements stated on the cov uni website. I was still a bit 'mmmm' you know!? lol. that's why i thought i'd send u a msg.
I decided to look around to see if there were any unis willing to take on 'fresh' people in the subject. At first i checked aston uni, they wanted £9000 (pffft!) then i looked at birmingham city uni, they wanted me to be already exempt from F1-F9 papers! then i finally looked at coventry. I even checked the coventry Msc modules with the acca exemptions website and it looks like i'll be exempt from 5 papers from the MSc alone! I think that's great! But i don't think i'll be able to choose my own modules to exempt myself from more papers!? I dunno.
anyway.....get bk 2 me. x

Hiya!
Close - I have a BA in Accountancy, and I'm studing the MSc Accounting & Financial Management course.
You're supposedly 'required' to have a grounding accountancy, but a lot of the stuff we're doing this semester is fairly basic, though it's true that some knowledge would help, or you might find it moves quite quickly. I'm not sure about second semester modules, but I'd imagine similar requirements apply.
If you talk to our postgraduate admissions (I'd recommend trying, if possible, to get through to actual EFA staff rather than the general PG people - Shinder Thandi is department head, but I don't know who is really in charge! Definitely try and speak to our specific department as they know best - Graham Sadler may also be a good one to get hold of).
If you have any more questions or want some help, just give me a bell and I'll help you as best I can
