Don't worry, I'm pretty familiar with SEAian cuisine, so I know the difference between "English Chinese Food" and real Chinese food. I mean, I'm more than happy to eat both sorts but I could probably tell you the difference between mouthfuls!

- I'm an international cocktail - my mother is Chinese/Sarawakian, my dad is English/Irish and I apparently sound like a Texan cheerleader thanks to my upbringing in Borneo. It's all a mystery to me too.
I grew up on a healthy diet of books; music ranging from Etta James to Deep Purple; jungle trekking in ratty clothes; great wining and dining, no matter what the cuisine; enjoy long, romantic walks to the fridge; regular beatings from my older sister, and travelling in all shapes and forms. I'm a food aficionado with a weakness for rugby, running, pilates and yoga. Tabasco is my crack and I've got a vocabulary as dirty as the gutter.
Be aware that I may occasionally also give off the impression that I'm an idiot. Unfortunately, it's probably an accurate impression. My foot can be found in my mouth on a regular basis too.
