  1. Essex, woop!
  2. Hey Natalie, how are you exams going? How did you find C2?
  3. Open days are the biggest bum. I am only nearby to 3 medical schools, 2 of which I am certainly not applying for. I missed out on all the London open days that I wanted except UCL but I don't know how to book them. I'm going on a residential to Oxford next month so i'll count that as an open experience. Hmmm...

    Aberdeen
  4. see I like the idea of a busy place. I find it's a bit lonely here (although that might be me being an only child)
  5. i would go for an open day, Exeter's so small we'd probably bump into each other! haha!
  6. Exeter is a pretty place and you don't get the feeling of claustrophobia like what I get when i visit London. It's not lifeless, but doesn't have the most buzzing nightlife (not that any of us would ever choose a university because of that! ). It's also very close to the countryside, from my house it's a 20 minute walk out of the city, and it's only a train stop or two from the sea.
  7. Oh Exeeter college was a big tower where its A levels are based. I do maths on the 9th floor! (Considering nothing is highger than the cathedral in Exeter this is quite something!) St. Thomas is the area of exeter where I live. I do like Exeter but I want to move away for the experience
  8. Did you see the big exeter College Tower? Did you drive through st thomas?

And dawlish warren is always a top one for geography
  9. :O! You came to exeter, what part? (I live there!)
  10. Well they said they wouldn't mind seeing an attempt to get some medicine based experience, but it wasn't that important if they didn't and they were academic. It really is academically driven. You know I like the idea of going to Cambridge, but I think their approach to medicine is a bit archaic.

say that I went to peninsula for a PBL taster session. I'm not sure if I like that either as it just seemed a way for the loud mouthed people to show off. I think I prefer the integrated approach where they have lectures and then a PBL eqsue session so you're not completely thrown into the dark with no knowledge and you don't have to rely on a team. peninsula is very nice though, exeter medical school is worth considering
