Haha. I've met some retarded people who didn't even know where Sweden was located on a World map! How sad. Well, I can understand German and Swedish pretty much as well as any native speakers but can't speak them properly. I guess I didn't get much exposure to German/Swedish - when I was a child - to develop my ability in it enough to speak it: I'm called a 'passive' bilingual.
How about you? (If you don't mind me asking). Were you raised and born in Scotland?
Well, I've never been to Quebec so I can't tell if you'd understand something... Some friends of mine who've been there told me that instead of saying "ma petite amie/ mon amoureuse", they say "ma blonde". I don't get it. Why'd they call their "girlfriend" "ma blonde"? She's not supposed to be blonde, is she?
Snails? I don't especially like eating snails.
France is a nice country to live in. But I can't much compare it to Sweden as it's a totally different country and I haven't lived there long enough to do so...
Bonne chance pour tes exam's ! Sure you'll do great! Mine are in June but I'm getting prepared...

The thread still exists, however, we destickied it as we didn't feel that it was 'important' enough or in high enough use by the community (a very small proportion of ScotQuals ever study AH English) to warrant being stickied. I would certainly protest the deletion of the thread; it's very useful to everyone who does study English!
I moderate most of Study Help, yeah.
It looks like we've binned your most recent post from the thread (probably because someone has moved the guy you were replying to's post into the appropriate forum), and that's why you got a "you do not have permission..." screen, as you were probably trying to access the thread via that post.

I thought 'Burke and Hare Brothers' was a shop or a TV show or something like that...
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

I love the english language because I was born in Sweden. Therefore, I started learning English at a very young age. Most people are fluent in English, over there. Um, I don't have the slightest idea what Burk and Hare Brothers is...
I don't think I'll be applying to other places in the UK for medicine. I definitely want to go to Scotland, more particularly to the University of Edinburgh.
I'll apply in France and in Canada, as well. They'll be my insurance choices. I cannot wait till next year to find out the outcome of my application.
Haha, I knew you were about to say 'Japan'. You should move there and marry a japanese girl buddy! I can tell you are fond of the japanese language and culture.
My third language would either be Swedish or Español.
Oh, why do you procrastinate so much?

Aw, c'est gentil d'être fier de moi. Oh gosh, I think I'm in love with English! Seriously, I could speak it all day long. Yeah, you should definitely visit Lyon some day with some friends of yours! You'll enjoy yourself there! Well, as for me, I want to read medicine in Edinburgh as I heard it is one of the best european medical schools; I want what's best for me. I really don't mind studying abroad as long as I practise my english and get better at it. Plus, it's a great way to broaden my horizons and to get to know new people from around the world. I'm a very open-minded person.
After graduating, I'll probably move to London to do my Foundation Years. Don't know yet. LOL. I like to forward-think...
Pfft, stop it now, your french is VERY GOOD, buddy. You definitely have some good linguistic skills.
I've studied "l'Étranger" by Camus as well as "Les Fleurs du Mal" by Baudelaire.
LOL. Trilingual would be fine. I prefer English!

Quick-use, I'm beginning to miss your cool replies. Hope you're doing great! Bonne chance pour tes examens!

Parler français, c'est génial !
I had an amazing week in Paris, despite the fact that it was raining and freezing cold. I've already been in Paris several times as some of my kin-folks live there. It's a great place to visit and study but I wouldn't want to live there. People are too stressed! Furthermore, accomodation is costly and there are daily morning traffic jam, haha.
I live near Lyon, the second largest city in France! Lyon is so much different from the capital, Paris. It's a really nice place to walk, go shopping, study, live etc!
I'll be sitting something equivalent to an As Level in the UK. Those first exams are part of the french baccalaureate. I'll probably be sitting French on June 19th and History in mid-June but I don't know the exact date yet.
I hope we'll both do great. Hard work always pay off!
Futur polyglotte, te voici ! Oh, let's switch to French.
Why not moving to Japan after graduating? Have you ever thought about it? You'll "be able to use [your] japanese' very often.
I'd love to hear you speak French, some day. It'll be fun.
Ich spreche Deutsch a little bit. I find the English language being so close to the German one.
Reis = Rice, Nacht = night, gut = good and so on. I'm not considering learning German, though.
Oh, I still don't know your name, by the way.
