Thanks man im motivated to work hard this year!

I just can't wait to finally be able to say "Im a first year mechanical engineering student" engineering just sounds soo good i heard first 2 years are hard since its a lot of new content being taught but i guess thats not much of a problem if your enjoying the degree. I think ill cry on results day if i make it hahaha

ahh right so u only had 2 offers? (Sussex n Northumbria) ? I applied for foundation year for 4 of my choices then 1 of them was the straight course because i was scared of rejections as for AS i messed about and got BEE (I was 2 ums from a D in one of them(computing) and 7 ums in the other (physics) but i seemed to mess up only one exam in each lol)

I also dropped computing because of circumstances so im only doing 2 A-levels now with AS in computing (which im redoing) and AS further maths which i picked up so doing 2 A-levels 2 AS's so that meant i couldnt apply to the very "top" uni's like sheffield or loughborough for example im still happy the unis i chose are still decent all in the top 30 but ranking doesn't matter too much anyway what matters most is the course and whether its accredited by IMeCh.

I resat the exams this January and my god it was hectic fingers crossed iv done well especially in physics screwed up the resit but sorta did well in A2 one. My first choice is Sussex i think and i asked them that if i did acheive better than the foundation year offer (CC) will they let me do first year and they said yes! So im praying i manage to do well and get into first year mechanical BEng then work hard to move up to MEng.

How is the course so far? Do you like it? Is it hard?! Thanks

Haha yeah we all need a lil bit of luck hopefully i'll be lucky too

how are you finding first year of mechanical eng? Are you also planning on doing MEng?

what made u choose northumbria over sussex,brunel etc?

wow thats inspiring! What did you end up getting at A-level? It seems the requirements in 2011 and 2012 were lower than they are now now they are ridicolous hahaha
