Well even though I am not religious, I do appreciate people who know their theologies. It's good to see someone that has knowledge about the history and practices of religion(s) (Christianity specifically). In comparison to California, or practically anywhere in America, the masses are not so precise and knowledgeable. That may seem like a far-fetched statement, but after reading Stephen Prothero's book titled "Religious Literacy," I see how Americans have lost their understanding of their religion's history, doctrines and past because they primarily focus on a "loving Jesus" or "spreading a message of love." While these things are not terrible, it seems that rather than learn the faith's history and development, bits and pieces are mostly cherry picked and preached, leading to a biased point of view and understanding. Apparently, Prothero completed a survey of Christian Americans and only 1 in 9 could list all of the 10 commandments, and only a small percentage knew all of the apostles. His main argument is that, if you're going to be a follower of faith, make sure you read and understand it! So that's why I like your posts: You're aware of what you talk about, and I relate to you in that manner, even though it may be a completely opposite viewpoint.

Oh I'm sorry! No, we had not spoken previously. I just enjoy reading your posts and I find myself agreeing with what you say. I apologize if it is weird or uncalled for. I typically speak with people first before adding them, but as of late, I find myself unable to allocate time for every individual that I wish to friend.
