Did you here back from Southampton?
-
I am going to Nottingham on the 20th February
I haven't really thought about what I'd do if I got the scholarship... Yesterday was the first time I have been to Southampton, and since the weather was appalling, I didn't get a proper feel for it. I would probably go to Southampton since an unconditional offer would take soooo much pressure off this year and £5000 per year would be so helpful. It would probably be too good to turn down. Again though, it's very unlikely that I will get the scholarship!
-
You said Southampton was a back up for you, would you go if you got the scholarship though?
-
I have the same letter from Nottingham. They have asked to meet me to discuss whether my offer will bee AAA or AAB, and I'll find out in february. I also have an offer from Queen Mary.
I should think that we should here from Southampton fairly soon. They said before christmas, ie one month to mark the exams and so on, but I reckon it will be more likely 2 weeks or so. I think they pretty much implied that everyone there yesterday would be getting an offer, so fingers crossed!

I haven't really decided where to rank Southampton yet... I have applied to UCL, King's, Nottingham, Southampton and Queen Mary. Out of those, Queen Mary is my backup, but I haven't decided on the others.
No you didn't really miss anything. After the accommodation tour everyone had tea and cakes and stuff and there was an opportunity to ask questions to students.
Do you have any offers yet?
-
Yeah, I think it's worth a go since it doesn't affect your application. Where does Southampton rank amongst your choices?
-
I thought it was very hard too. I loved the suvat one! We have just done Maclaurin series in further maths and the Taylor series is very similar. I could do it in my head, but I had trouble expressing it on the answer page, so I'm not sure I'll get all the marks on that one. I found question one the hardest, but others like the kettle one were ok. I don't think I have done well enough for the scholarship, as I found a lot of questions very difficult.

I was one of the overdressed ones :/ I wore a shirt and tie with black trousers. I had a jumper over my shirt though. I also had the black addidas bag with 3 white stripes going down the middle of the bag.
Yes I took the exam. How did you find it?
