I'm just doing Ancient History, not regular history
-
Yo, did you get into Ancient and Modern with A level History or did you do Ancient History?
-
Ugh cuts -.- Not fun. I'm sort of teaching myself Old English at the moment, but it's going veeery slowly as school is taking up so much time. It's a fascinating language though, I love it
-
That sounds so much more interesting than my current course. I wish our History modules were more varied, but oh well xD Are you taking Latin and Greek in Classics? Or can you only take one?
-
History coursework is murdering me, ahaha. I chose a topic on East Germany - the Stasi - and its sources are so far eluding me. But I will find them! I have a January exam for Psych, and coursework for English. Again I envy you. But at least the texts in English are good ones
-
Nope, not at my school, sadly. The most exciting new subjects were seemingly Psych, Socio & Politics. Mindblowing. -.- English Lit is good, wish there was more of a creative side to it, though. I do love writing stories and whatnot. What else are you studying?
-
Penelope was pretty badass, in her own way xD I envy you so much for doing Classics. I'd have picked that straight away, and unticked Psychology or French as a choice. Probably French. The AS was not my favourite thing in the world. Bah. I just want to quit A Levels and start my university course. Do something I actually enjoy. >.<

You've read the Iliad? Kudos to you. I'm still working my way through it. I always loved Achilles. Jason was another favourite. Narcissus made me laugh. As for Norse, it has to be Loki. I love how tricky and complex he is and yet most of the things he does benefit Asgard in the long run, or set records straight. The Lokasenna will always be one of my favourites. As will The Lay of Thrym. That story amused me highly xD

Oh, that's true I'm fortunate in that I live about an hour away from London in Kent, but I can imagine the cost it'd be for you :/ It cost my ex £54 alone to get to London and then to mine, and they lived in Cambridge. Not cheap.
O.O Yes. You really, really do. It's fantastic, hysterical, clever, and I just adore it. Norse mythology is so mad, but that's why I'm so drawn to it. Much more interesting than Classical mythology, in my opinion. Do you have a favourite mythological figure?

Ahaha yess! Sounds good! :-P We definitely have to do it!
