I remember you also! That is such good news, well done! You must be ecstatic, I know I would be. I haven't heard back from then so am thinking it is a rejection at this point in time as they seem to have offered to the pre-christmas interviewees already :-( I'm not sure if it is because I am still in year 13 therefore don't have the grades yet or because I interviewed badly but I haven't been rejected yet so can still hope! In terms of picking, I would normally go with my head (logic) but no matter where you graduate from as a medic you will get a job, and a good one too. So in this case I honestly believe you should follow your heart (cliched, I know). I think so, simply because employability will be similar for both and this is a 5/6 year experience and you have to be completely happy with where you are going or else you will end up resenting both the Uni and medicine. I've applied to Manchester, St.Andrews, Edinburgh and Leeds. I have an interview at Manchester in February, even though they have already started giving lots of offers! Leeds had three or four thousand applicants so I am not expecting an interview really, and Edinburgh again I am not expecting an offer but they don't interview so that is down to almost pure luck I think with all the applicants looking so similar on paper, for Medicine! Where else have you applied and do you have a 'first' choice?
Also, Merry Christmas for tomorrow! Hope you have an absolutely lovely one xxx
I'm fairly new to this so I couldn't work out how to quote you on the St.Andrews medic applicants forum but I was 3.15 on Thursday too! Just thought I would say Hi :-P Hope it went well for you, I am not sure which girl you were but I was the darker skinned guy. Never been to St.Andrews before that but it was so nice! x
I saw in one of your posts that you didnt get any offers for medicine and I was just wondering what you did wrong or what you dindt do because I'm not sure if its going to be worth to waste my choices with medicine :/
Hey! Only just found out how to use this thing, never did messages on here!
Aww, im sorry youve missed out, but im sure with the determination and patience that youve mastered being an oxford applicant, youll do swimmingly well in any university =D Iv been selected for interview at my first choice college, and havent of yet been offered a 2nd college!
