I still think it's really lovely and I suppose, I consider £50 a lot though I'm especially shocked more people haven't put themselves forward for it. I suppose it's a case where the thought counts more than anything. Anyways - it's good to know there are people like you and OP out there.
Okay, thank you soooo much for your reply! Everyone has been telling me to take a gap-year, in fact. So, I think that's what I will do, if ever I'm rejected. Thanks again! Really wishing you all the best with your application!
Hi there! Saw that you were applying to Imperial for medicine as a Graduate student, so I was wondering if you could spare some time to answer some of the questions I have regarding this entry route into Medicine. I really need to know if I'm taking the right decision. I don't want to regret it later.
I'm a medical applicant too but I have a strong feeling I'm going to be rejected by all my choices (no interview invitations yet). So, I was thinking of doing Biomedical Sciences/ or Neuroscience for 2014 entry and then re-apply for medicine as a graduate.
Looking back at your experience, do you think it's worth doing another degree before re-applying for medicine? Would you have prefered taking a gap year? How about the funding for postgraduate degrees? I heard that it was quite hard to find some tuition fee loans or stuff.
PS: I'm an EU applicant, so I don't know if things might be slightly different for me. We, however, pay the same fees as UK students and are entitled to the same tuition fee loan for undergraduate courses.
Thanks in advance!
yeah, but with 131 given out...seems unlikely in my opinion....ergh we'll see x
Thanks, I think I've chated to her on the phone actually. But Id really like to chat to someone more specifically about my application, think thats possible? I have my 775 UKCAT, and obviously thought I had most other boxes ticked with regards to PS...So fustrating not having an interview, and then not knowing why!! x
Can I ask what email address you email newcastle for more info please?
Hope you hear some good news soon x
Thanks for the rep. Have a great evening.
I went for Cambridge, Southampton, Kings and St George's. Feel in a better position this time with more work experience (16 months as Samaritan & ward volunteer + shadowing in A&E and Oncology), a better Ukcat & Gamsat and A grades in AS Chem & Bio. But hey - doesn't mean will get anywhere necessarily!
Just wanted to say good luck to you this time round - we had some correspondence previously and I see you've been really helpful to people on here.
We're not in competition as I have applied to totally different unis and have different background so all the best with it - am really hoping I make it 2nd time round!
Hey man. What was your strategy for the new VR questions?
