I know this sounds a bit stalkerish, but I LOVE your blog!

Hello there! I applied for the internship through AIESEC, which is the largest youth organisation in the world. Basically you can choose where you want to go from 113 different countries Try to look up the nearest AIESEC branch from where you live and ask around there! They should know exactly what I'm talking about

Hey! I use giffgaff so I got someone to post it to me free internationally which gave us both £5 in credit. Then, I paid £10 to top-up and got it activated. Since you're going to go soon you should wait until you arrive and get one posted to your UK address free.

No problem! :-) Happy to help in any way I can.

Hey! No worries. To answer your questions, (1)your visa will be valid until 3 months after you finish your degree, so (2) you can stay and work over holidays, although depending where you are in the UK employment may be difficult to find because of extremely high unemployment.
Hope that helps!

Salut! If I remember correctly, you mentioned before that you'd spent some time at a French language camp (or something similar) in Québec. Is there any chance you could tell me the name please?
Merci!

Hello, I was looking at your post in the "American Student" thread and realized you are an international student! Ok, so as an intl student myself with an offer at Cambridge, I hope you can help me out with some questions regarding financial aid at Cambridge.
In the letter sent to me from my college, it says that I have to provide financial guarantee for the balance of my fees prior to submitting the application. Does this mean the total cost p.a. - the value of the cambridge bursary? You mentioned that the Cambridge scholarship is around 6000 pounds a year. Is this value true? I mean, on my letter it says 2000-3000 but Cambridge Trusts' website says 6000-12000 so I'm unsure which value to use.
Thanks and I look forward to hearing your response

I studied French and German, both post A level, for two years. I'm on my YA in Germany at the moment, and have no intentions of taking any papers in the French dept next year, so I feel very much like a Germanist at the moment.

Thanks I prefer Girton I think, Kings seemed a bit daunting hahah! Although I'm jealous of your DoSs, the ones I met were lovely! Yeah I'm doing a gap year so I'll see you in 2013, grade permitting
