Hey! I just saw your msg. But my experiences have been good. The site is amazing and coonects you with all kinds of people and families. It really allows you to choose the best match for you. I would say that being an au pair abroad is different than studying abroad or even just visiting. You really have to learn to live with a family that is not your own and try to become part of the family while also exploring. I think the best part is meeting other au pairs -- they are really welcoming because they are in the same situation you are. I would say all my experiences have been positive but I do urge you to get your duties and everything in a contract and just have everyone sign it. Yeah I thought the test was silly and I rambled about nothing on the English part..
I was the opposite, though my German interview went better and I really got on with her.. My French was awful and I messed up on all of my grammar.. :/
