  1. Hey, haven't spoken to you for ages. How's it going?
Well, MORSE is so different than what I have expected. For a moment, I thought I was doing maths at uni, and the maths in uni is so different than A-level.. Unsurprisingly, we have lots and lots of assignments compare with other degree subjects.. So yeah, good luck if you get into MORSE,
  2. This is what I was talking about in the thread - Var(A+4B) in this case = Var(A)+4Var(B) because there are 4 events as opposed to 4 lots of one event. When there is one event, but its score is multiplied, the deviation will be magnified as you've just multiplied it - hence squaring. However, if you've got lots of events, the variance won't get much bigger - it cancels itself out as one event might be 5 above the mean, but another might be 5 below. So in this case, there are 5 cars (1 with time A, 4 with time B) so you use the 'n events' calculation as opposed to the 'n lots of one event' calculation. Hope this helps.
  3. I've done Jan 06, May 06, Jan 07, June 07, Jan 08, June 08 and June 11 so I might be able to help with those.
  4. Hi my fellow Londoner! R u Chinese? Specifically British born Chinese?
  5. Hey, friend!
  6. :yy:
  7. I hope you're okay. I really thought we are going to spend great years together. Anyway, I hope you will make it to Warwick next year and hopefully I shall see you again.
Best of luck at what everything you decided to do in your gap year and your future!!
  8. Thanks, good luck!
I'm just a bit worried about not getting an offer as everyone seams to be doing 4A2s and I won't be.
  9. Hi I'm sorry that you didn't make your offers. I've just read your post about reapplying for Maths and economics at Warwick. I was wondering your reasons for not reapplying for morse again. Also if you don't mind what were your AS gradesand where else you applied to. I am looking to apply for morse at Warwick and Maths and economics at other unis. X
  10. Haven't talked to you for a long time mate, just saw your MORSE post. I think you are being paranoid. Come on, I am sure you had this before, thinking you did really badly in an exam, but turned out you did great. So don't give up, C4 is quite hard this year and the grade boundaries should be quite low.
Anyway, stop worrying and enjoy your summer. Hopefully, I shall see you in Warwick at September. Good luck on result day and all the best!
