Sorry for the random message. My names Sophie im a 2nd year at Middlesex University studying Fashion Design Styling and Promotion.

I saw your posts about studying at Middlesex in September and your issues with halls and thought i might be able to help.

Im renting a house next year with 3 other 2nd year art and design students (all very nice friendly girls). We have a spare bedroom to rent out urgently. Its a large single- larger than the rooms in halls. In a 5 bed room house less than a 5 minute walk from university. We have a lovely little garden and big kitchen lounge diner with table chairs etc and a sofa (something you dont get in halls).

Its £110 per week for the room with your bills on top and food etc. Which is now cheeper than halls i understand. Bills per week is about £10- to give you a rough idea.

The house is down a quiet pretty road and like i said so close to university and also the banks and supermarkets and the tube station. Also close to the local pubs where everyone goes for drinks after uni, and a 2 minute walk to usher halls where im sure people from your course will live.

Oh wicked! well keep me posted on whether you can where abouts is it/size/are bills included etc? i've seen onther house online too, im hoping people are starting to put them up now etc maybe i shouldnt stress so muh ha

looking at all these roommate sites, but they're sharing with 'professional' people not exactly where i thought i'd be staying first year of uni trying to find student houses but cant :/

oh god really? well i hope people are more friendly haha willl be gutted if i'm living with unsociable/horrible people! but deffinatly excited!

oh haha well you're deffinatly used to moving about :') I live in dunstable which is next to luton, not really that far for me to go tbh but it'll be good to live in london. and yesss i spoke to a girl at one of my interviews about it and she was studying at UAL and said her flat mates where all csm students and she litterally never saw them proper unsociable only had like two conversations the whole time! I'd hate that so much haha

have you moved about alot then? I've never done it when i've been old enough to really remember so kinda worried haha!yeah nahh i got through but it wouldnt let me pay the deposit? thing is a girl i know whos in her third year now said she knew 2 people that got into halls but everyone was international. I dont even think im far enough away i'd probably get looked at last

oh serious? we're still on our FMP haha only on the 3rd week! and oh god really i tried to apply to halls last night but wouldnt let me pay the deposit..really worried i wont get into halls and then i'll have to find a house last minute (will probably drive me insane) and iomg no same! i think i might be more excited to go to ikea to choose everything for my room than the actual moving away?
