Hey, no problem. Cripps Court is functional, but it's quite modern and I enjoy living in it. Most first-years are housed in Cripps, yeah, only a few are in Dockett/Fisher. Dockett rooms can vary depending on your luck, and my friend in Fisher has a lovely room, but they are distanced from all the rest of us, so it's a disadvantage to be there I think. I don't think roommates happen in first-year, but you can do it in second-year, kind of.

The kitchens are quite basic, but you don't really need to use them much considering buttery is cheap and about 2 minutes from your room. There are fridges, yeah. There are microwaves in the kitchen, and I doubt you'd be allowed (or need) your own (or a mini-fridge) in your room, but you could ask I suppose.

Yeah, there's a Sains just over 5 minutes from college. The Grand Arcade is a shopping centre under 5 minutes away with places selling clothes, electricals, homeware, most things.
