Smason5!! Dilemma!! So I now have the option of going to a very good boys' school for Sixth Form (King's College, Wimbledon). On one hand, very good facilities, extraordinarily good teaching, impressive stats (25% of last year got into Oxbridge). On the other hand, I will lose my teachers who are actually pretty good - maybe on par with King's - teachers who I am comfortable with and will write me good references for Uni, and lose maybe concentration (I go to a girls' school, and King's is boys with a mixed Sixth). I really don't know if it's worth it or not! Do you have any advice? I'm going to the Open Evening next Tuesday, so I've only seen the outside so far. So sorry to bother you, get back to me whenever you have time! How are you finding life at Oxford?

Hey smason5, I forgot to ask, how were results? Hope all went well. How's packing going? Just thought you'd like to know, I'm being a lot less lazy this year and revising at weekends for everything (eg. one weekend French and German, one weekend, sciences etc) and so far it's helping a TINY bit. I'm also doing all my homework on Fridays *feels like an aspiring med student*

Well you'll be happy to know I only just got them this morning and got 9A*s and 3 As
Just missed out on the tenth A* with Geography (359 for 360 needed)
But Yeah . Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, R.E, French (somehow, some way), History, English Lit and English Language were my A*s - Geography and ICT (2) being As

Well I go to a public school, not a state school so I'll be alright. i have a prospectus and read through it so that's kinda sorted. I guess I'll cross the female and far-away colleges off the list. Do you think I'll be able to get work experience in year 12' summer with a GP? Cause its too late now :P. And do you live in London? If so what GP did you enquire to concerning Work exp?
The interviews actually don't seem so bad!? Not to say it's easy but that's a load off my shoulders. WHat kind of reasons did you give for picking medicine, bad aspects and the "why pick me" question (the killer!?) - it's not that I can't think for myself, but I'd like an idea that I'm along the right lines of thinking ( <-- That's my excuse? Pathetic!)
I'll try to work extremely hard so that I get high UMS marks for AS, so applying for Oxford/ Cambridge could change as plans may change depending on how I do
