Nope, he's transferring into second year from Munich (he's German) cos he doesn't like it there and since he's always wanted to study in Scotland everything sort of came together nicely Congrats! I hope you like it there! Sport is definitely the right thing to choose if you want to deal with stress (and avoid some annoying people...). By the way, I got two more offers - a stupid one from Edinburgh, which is basically a reject and an okay one from Bath but that doesn't matter anymore since I've already chosen Glasgow. Dundee left and I'll be done!

I'm sociable enough so I don't think making friends will be a problem From browsing Gumtree in the last couple of weeks I can say that there are plenty of reasonably priced 1 bedroom flats (i.e. around 400 pounds a month) within walking distance of the uni. The plan is to share one with the boyfriend so costs will be split in half and therefore it'll be much cheaper than the price of a single room with everything shared at halls. And to be honest, I need my privacy from time to time (especially bathroom) or I'll go a bit crazy

Thank you for the detailed reply! I'm so, so glad that you liked Glasgow and that I'm not making things up and it is actually a great place. Can't wait to firm it and start getting ready for accommodation & the rest. For the MSci I was actually thinking of trying out in Germany but that's quite far away from now and depends on quite a few things! Thanks for the advice anyways! Did they give any advice on accommodation? I'm pretty decided on going private since the uni one is a bit too expensive for my budget but I reckon that wouldn't be a problem, would it? (As in, making friends and such; people usually end up getting closer to the people on their course and not the flatmates.)

Hello! I have only one more offer, from Aberdeen, and that's all! I'm getting impatient since I've pretty much decided to go to Glasgow no matter what so I just want the other unis to give me offers/reject me and be done with it. What did you think of Bath and Aberdeen? Ah, Glasgow! I don't really want to know anything in particular... How's the general atmosphere of the uni and mainly the Bio Sciences part. Are the laboratories as nice in real life as in on photos? Do tell what you thought of Glasgow & the uni when you're back, if that won't be too much of a problem!

That would be pretty awesome actually. It's nice to know at least one person on your course so it's not as intimidating Congrats on your offer! I want Aberdeen or Dundee to reply positively as well so I have a back up too.

Got an offer from Glasgow some hours ago!! I think you should too, as it's the same course. ABB equivalent I think is the offer (5.60 in our diploma) and couldn't be happier!! I'm going to uni! Bath is an amazing university (and city) and if you want to go there then do it. Choose the place where you think you'll be happy and satisfied.
