Hi,
I came across your post about wanting to switch to a career in law while looking for posts about an MA in Art History on The Student Room. I'm looking for universities in the UK that I should apply to. And even though you are thinking of (or have already) switched subjects, I felt that it would good to ask your advice since you have experience in the field. Which universities do you suggest I look into for art history? What are the best places to study the subject?
Background: I'm hoping to apply for a course that begins in 2012. I live in India and have 2 years of experience in art journalism. I have also done a PG diploma in Indian Arts & Aesthetics. My main areas of interest are modern and contemporary art but I also want to develop a strong foundation in classical art.

Hey, thanks for your reply! I got an offer today but they put it up to AAA instead of AAB so now I'm completely thrown. Have my heart set on it! Do you think it's just because of the competitive nature of the process this year?

I've just seen that you do Art History at St Andrews and I've applied to do Art History and Modern History there as my first choice. So want to get in. Do you have any idea about how competitive it is generally and when you got your offer? I hear most people from the UK have to wait until March? Don't know if I can wait that long! I am so desperate for an offer!
