Hello I'm a GCSE student who has also been doing a bit of Oxford applicant stalking
First of all, hugee(but late) congratulations to you for getting in to Oxford! would you mind if I asked you some questions on reading English at Oxford?
1) my biggest worry at the moment: GCSE. Foolishly enough, I did not realise the importance of GCSEs until year 11 and now I'm only predicted 3A*s with 6As.. will this put me in to a huge disadvantage? Did they mention them in your interview? Any ways to combat them?
2) English is my second language, but I am absolutely in love with it! Will this put me in a disadvantage or will the tutor be interested to see that?

Hi, I'm thinking of applying for English at the oxford uniq summer school...I've written my personal statement but I'm not sure if it is good enough or if I have talked about the right sort of things. What did you talk about in your personal statement? I mean I have referred to books but i couldn't go into much detail about them. Thanks

I was there for english; I'm pale and have dark hair (Sorry, not very specific).

Sorry, i've been doing a bit of Oxford applicant stalking! I saw you are applying for english and, although i'm aware this is a bit cheeky, i wondered how you were preparing for interview? I'm not getting much help at school, but am struggling to find a starting point! Any tips? Anyway, thanks- and maybe see you at oxford one day! x
