    Sorry for the late reply! I'm not too sure about switching from joint to single honors! to get onto the single hons course last year i had to take an NCTJ exam and then an interview against 4 other students to determine wether i was good enough to get onto the course, in the end only 20 out of about 150+ people got a place, its pretty competetive, but i'm pretty suer i saw DMU single hons journalism on the clearing list this year, so just give them a call and ask to speak to Tor Clarke (hes the head of journalism and my tutor, hes the nicest man you can possibly imagine)

    Hi, firstly congratulations onto getting to DMU and on picking an awesome course! Journalism is absolutely brilliant the lecturers are great and the course is taught really well! I love it! The city and uni itself are top class! The students on campus are friendly and there is a really nice atmosphere about the place. Nightlifes the BEST in leicester as well! (:
