True enough. It is an interesting issue that new people are inevitably compared against old ones...some people would likely not appreciate that. In the end we are but the sum of our experiences - it makes sense that we cannot hold all of the experiences over a lifetime, so folding the similar ones together makes sense...even if it is a little sad that we lose fine detail in our memories as a result. Presumably this is what happens as we grow old - the days become more similar so they merge, and time seems to move faster.
