Well personally I'd drop Sociology... I kept it myself because I was heading for the social science path, but if you're interested in English I'd definitely recommend keeping lit, even if you don't need both subjects - it's helpful to broaden your skills :) Yeah, it will get harder at A2 but it sounds like you'd be able to cope, I honestly think it'd be a bit of a waste to carry on with soc..
Obviously your career advisor means well, wanting you to keep your options open, but if you already know you'd prefer something english-related, go with your gut feeling! :)

I hope to continue studies into English Language at degree level in the coming years, perhaps with further post-graduate study. I would also be interested in studying abroad in the United States, as part of my degree programme.
I have applied to the following universities:
- University of Leeds
- Newcastle University
- Lancaster University
- University of Birmingham
- University of Sussex
- Travelling, Geocaching, Blogging and Reading. I love the United States in general, but especially Florida!
