  1. Heyyy, basically there were a couple of reasons. I felt that I would hate living in London for three years - not really a city type of person! - and because I wanted to do two languages, I wouldn't have started my humanities subject until the second year so I found a course where I could do two languages alongside a politics strand. The TSA is the Thinking Skills Assessment - its basically a test to see how good you are at logical and critical thinking. There are loads online (Oxford and Cambridge also use them for PPE/PPS) and test both maths and critical thinking based questions. If you've done any critical thinking then the argument analysis questions will be fine even if you haven't they're pretty easy to get the hang of. Its all multiple choice so not too daunting!! Thanks, you too!!
  2. Heyy,
Thanks, although I have decided not to take my place haha!!
To me, they sound like a great mix. All they want from you is firstly a language and any 'proper' subject that involves you showing some sort of written competency (all with good grades of course!!) Economics and History are plenty to show that you are skilled at analysis and argument, French obviously shows language skills and to be honest then, your last option can be whatever you want or enjoy. If Biology is your next favourite subject then go for it, you will have already given them what they want so the last choice is up to you! One thing I would say is to do a bit of work for the TSA (with the enthusiasm you've showed so far, I'm sure you'll get that far!) because it sounds like a simple critical thinking/verbal reasoning paper, but a LOT is maths based (not complicated but a bit tricky) Maths wasn't my best subject so I had to work a bit on recognising what the question wanted!
Hope this helps, if you have any more questions I'm happy to answer
    xx
