  1. Hi!

I saw on the forum that you studied at McGill. I am originally from France but I actually did my whole undergrad at Concordia!

I just received an offer to study at Imperial College and I was wondering how did you find an accomodation in London? Did you start looking when you were still in Montreal? My budget is pretty tight (130 pounds a week max) and it seems hard to find a good place to live from overseas.

    Merci beaucoup pour ton aide!
  2. Hi. As your a McGill graduate and have lived and experienced Montreal - could you advise me on the following if possible:

Which is the best bank to open a student account?

Whats the best micro-sim only plan? (I have an unlocked Iphone 4S from the UK)

The best place/cheapest to buy groceries, pharmacy, clothes (winter gear)?

Any other advise on living and getting around in Montreal would be helpful!

    Thanks for all your help.

  4. HEy there, I saw your post and I'm wondering if you could describe the differences in living in London from living in Montreal now that you've been at Imperial for a while.I'm from Canada and I have offers for maths and physics from UCL (MSci) and McGill and I'm attracted to places with access to greenspace (trails and parks etc) and I'm wondering if London is at all like this, or if you would recommend that i consider other aspects of these cities? The costs at UCL are daunting and I would be in debt $90000 CAN after all expenses for 4 yrs.
  5. hi, i'd like to know more about the two schools in generalofT and McGill. I think you are knowledgeable regarding this matter and would like to gain more insight. thanks!
  6. Hi,

I read in one of the threads you got accepted to masters chemical engineering program from McGill. I am applying to UofT for Sept 2012 MSc Chem Eng. Graduated from Ryerson University with Chem Eng with 3.52 in 2009, worked for 2 years. Do you have advice on how to strengthen my candidacy? How competitive was your application? Now that you have started your studies you might also know your classmates experience with application. Are there any students from Ryerson?
  7. Hi,
I am sorry if I am bugging you. But if you remember me, I am the guy who got an offer from UofT. I wanted to ask you something (i am a bit stressed about it).

In the conditional offer that uoft has given me. It says that I have to get a Mid-B in the final year of my degree. I am not really sure if I'll be able to get that. My overall degree may end up with a Mid-B (Because I did well in the 1st and 2nd Year). But in the final year my average may slightly less than that.

Equivalent for Mid-B in the UK is 60%. So if I get say around 58% in the third year, will I be fine with it? Please advise me! Cos I really don't know whats gonna happen.

    Thanks!
