Not much to add to what Slumpy said, but I think if you've got an offer, they clearly think you can cope with the work, so you should be fine! The atmosphere is very much 'work hard, play hard', so whilst everyone complains about how much work they have to do, they still find the time to go out and stuff.

The club scene in Cambridge isn't great - it's good fun but very cheese-oriented... (although I haven't heard great things about the clubs around Warwick either). I know plenty of people who manage to go out a couple of times a week, and I generally go to the college bar for a couple of drinks three or four times a week. And as Slumpy said, if there's something you want to do, there will be a society for it!

I would definitely recommend you choose Cambridge - you might not get the "standard university experience" (but what does that even mean...?") but there'e plenty of opportunity to have fun.

It depends an awful lot on how organised you are, how hard you're willing to work, how clever you are, probably some other things too.
For sport/work balance, I spend normally most of my weekend playing sports(bit of badminton, football match, hockey match is pretty standard), then a bit more in the week(couple of badminton training sessions, maybe a table tennis match or something). I don't go out that much anymore(maybe once a week), but third year is a bit more serious than 1st/2nd. Workwise, ~12 hours of lectures a week, 2 hours supervisions, each sheet supposed to take about 10 hours of work, so you're looking at 30-40 hours work a week, ie not much more than school. Outside lectures...well, depends what you wanna do. But if you've got an interest, there's likely a club for it here, in my experience.
