  1. hi there, u reapplicant?
  2. Not sure if I'm withdrawing. I've had an interview at Keele so might wait till I hear back from there till I sort any UCAS stuff out. Sheffield is my first choice though so I will definately firm it. Where else did you apply? I applied to Liverpool too but not heard anything back from them yet.
  3. Hey great news about your Unconditional at Sheffield! Do you think you will withdraw from your other choices? I really want to accept it now haha
  4. As for a timetable, it varies. Typically for this module (it might change next module I'm not sure) I have lectures 9-11 on Monday, followed by dissection for an hour and a half (if your surname is the second half of the alphabet, you do this on Tuesday) and then three lectures in the afternoon 2-5. Tuesday pretty much the same, although not always the morning lectures. Wednesday you tend to have off, as thats when we've had clinical skills days and the like. So some weeks you will be in 9-5 but most you will have off. Thursday is usually very similiar to Monday, except there is a timetabled block for doing Histology, which is an online learning activity you can do any time - I rarely do mine in that timetabled block. Friday is usually fairly light, maybe 1 or 2 lectures at varying times of the day and the formative assessment which is in the lecture theatre and uses the audience response units. I don't think this has been recorded yet, but I think they do eventually, although they don't look at how well you have done. Its more for yourself, and doesn't count towards your degree. It does work at showing you where you need to catch up a bit.
  5. What I love about Sheffield at the moment is probably the nightlife, how sociable the accomodation village is, (obviously depending on who you end up living with, but I've been lucky) how easily I've been able to make friends on my course, some of the fantastic societies I've been able to join and as for the course, we've not just been sat in lectures all day (although sometimes we have to, of course) we have done other things. I'll be honest and say I haven't done that much work outside of lectures (and I probably should have done) but it isn't as big and scary as I thought it would be. Everyone says this is the hardest module of the year, and I'm not finding it as horrendous as I thought I would, although that is made easier as soon as you realise that you CAN'T know everything they teach you. Some of the lecturers aren't great though, I have to say.

There's not really anything that stands out as something I don't like. Its all silly things like being lazy and not wanting the walk into the medical school (even though it takes us about 10-15 minutes usually)
