Thanks for informing us about of financial crisis news but i couldn't understand how is possible that whole Europe financial sector will be gone down by the financial crisis in Greece i mean that they have some tools to matigate the effect of crisis.
The Times – 20 July – The Times’ Leader says that failure to deal with the financial crisis in Greece is threatening the whole of Europe; action must be taken to stop contagion spreading to Italy and Spain. It says “failure to act to stem the contagion risks a new recession sweeping Europe, and many other countries.” There is a eurozone summit tomorrow to debate a bailout package for Greece.
Financial Times – 20 July – DeAnne Julius, a former member of the Bank of England’s monetary policy committee, has been hired by Deloitte as a non executive director alongside Gerry Grimstone of Standard Life. Deloitte is the last of the Big Four firms to appoint non-exec directors, required under tightened governance tiles for auditors.
Financial Times- 19 July – The federation of Small Businesses has called on the government to make temporary cuts to VAT for the construction and tourism industry after confidence in the economy among its members slumped.
The Independent – 18 July - The Treasury Select Committee is to launch an investigation into the Financial Conduct Authority, in order to ensure that the regulator is accountable. The Government is to break up the Financial Services Authority, following its failure to spot the financial crisis.
