Hell yeah.. think of all the bands like Franz Ferdinand and Biffy Clyro who come from Glasgow! But apparantly they're raising the price of alcohol in Scotland? It would be really interesting to see where we end up! I just have this thing for Glasgow that it wouldn't devastate me if I didnt get anymore offers. I promise if our UCL plans fail, Glasgow will be incredible! I've heard the nightlife and music scene is great too. How did your ELAT go? My friend took it yesterday too and said it was pretty horrible x

Hi! No I decided not to I don't know if I'll regret it but I'll have to see! I decided to go for Bristol, Exeter, UCL, Glasgow and Southampton! I see you got an offer from Glasgow! Congrats!! I did too, randomly the day after I sent my application I really really want to go there as the uni is BEAUTIFUL and the city has such a great feel! Where did you end up applying? xxx

Its so bad Cambridge ask for like 100% UMS for every subject. Oxford I think care less about the grades more about the person and how they can think about literature. I've always liked the Cambridge course more but I'm going to talk to my teachers about what kind of institutions I can go to with my grades. What grades do you think you'll be predicted next year? I think I might get an A* for English as I got 189/200 and hopefully art. Yeah I think I've just got to suck it up and put D down and see what I get back! xx

I take Eng Lit, Art, Biology and Chemistry. I know I'm just laughing about the D! What a disaster haha! I'm not sure what to do next year because I don't know if declaring a D on our UCAS will be a bit of death trap Everyone's complaining about English so much. I'm on OCR and we got the most obscure questions. What board are you on? I'm pretty ace at blagging so it worked out for me. Those universities sound great I'm looking at UCL, Liverpool, Lancaster, Warwick and Durham at the moment. I'm backing out of Cambridge though I think! It would be so cool if we got into UCL! I've always wanted to live in London What areas of literature are you interested in? What texts did you study at AS? Yeah I've been thinking about a gap year more recently to make sure I go to the university that I really want. I think travelling in your gap year is a great idea because everyone says they're going to do it in the future, but most people never get around to it Yeah I'm a girl! Are you? xx

It's a difficult position because we've got some really good grades but one that lets us down. Are you going to drop Spanish or take it on and resit? And what uni's are you thinking of applying to? x

Hello! The area is fine! Especially with the Olympics coming up it's getting a lot better too. It's busy enough that walking around at night is fine..though obviously it is still a big city which has more risks than smaller towns. It is also pretty cheap on rents. The course itself is great. After your first year you have complete flexibility of modules if you do English and Drama - you can literally do anything you want, no compulsory modules! If you have any specific questions let me know and I'll answer them.
