  1. Yeah it was bad! I think it would have been quite fun if I was expecting it but I got all paranoid and thought I had brain damage or something lol.
  2. hey!

Yeah the whole process is so stressful, I've applied for accommodation (thought I'd try get it out of the way as quick as possible) I put briarfields as my first choice so just have the long wait now to find out! now I just have the student loan drama to sort out! If i have any questions though I'll definitely give you a shout, it's nice knowing someone has already been through it
  3. Hey mate i read your post on Accommodation help
And wanted to know when did you apply for mill point? because ive put manc met as my insurance choice and I might have to go there if I miss out on my firm and might have to apply for accommodation in august. Also is mill point good?
  4. Let's switch to PMs.
  5. Oh, OK, that sounds interesting. I mainly hang around the Travel and Fashion threads, but sometimes, generally without good results (!) end up in political things; it can be fun sometimes though.

Why MMU? Are you in the North-West? I am in London.
  6. I don't understand why you get emotional.

What am I failing to consider?

Suffering and death are part of life, a part of life that is the individuals responsibility and problem; private issues are not a concern for the state.

I know my views are in the minority here, however I have as much right to voice my opinion as others, and if that includes using my General vote against socialists then so be it; and the same goes for using my party votes to select libertarian MPs, Councillors, and our Party Leader. I will do my best to create a fair and free society, not one crippled by a nanny state which tells people what they need.

As long as I remain the minority my position will not be the standard, but is only by standing up for what we believe in that we can change anything. Hopefully my view will not be the minority forever.
  7. I just feel that it is not the state or the taxpayers responsibility to look after people. It is their own responsibility.

Yes it is a shame when people become ill and die. But that does not mean that their healthcare is my, your, or anyone elses responsibility.

Appealing to emotion, is not a logical or appropriate argument in an economics discussion.
  8. Haha, thanks! Some of the libertarians on the internet are so ridiculous and also so over-represented in places like TSR compared to views in the general population.

    Are you doing economics?
  9. What makes you say that?
  10. Yeah he's a bit of a prankster, he just makes fun of me whenever he can as well! He felt a bit guilty though because it was a while before I had even realised it was a joke!

Got to say to anyone reading who's undecided about university...DO IT!.

Living at Mill Point accommodation for my first year, and looks like I'm staying there second year too (the place is just awesome), and ye uni life has been fantastic.

Also have several small jobs of club promotion for various nights around Manchester (yes I'm an annoying promoter... but its a bloody good job).

Aaaaanyway, can't be bothered waffling now so if you wanna know anything at all, just holla =]

    Academic Info
Studied at Wright Robinson Sports College, and received decent grades I suppose.

Then went on to do ICT at Ashton Sixth Form College, although did eventually decide ICT wasn't something I wanted to do for my career hence a change was needed.

Eventually joined Stockport College to study Business, and managed to get the grade to attend uni.

Chose MMU as my first choice studying business management, and have just recently recieved my grades for first year... 2.1 Not gonna complain with that.
    Interests
    Hobbies... hmm...

I've always been an avid football fan, with Manchester United being the team I follow.

Also have an interest in boxing, although not quite as knowledgable about the sport as I am with football.

Something else that has massively taken an interest over recent years is poker, and I'd like to think of myself as a half-decent tournament style player.

Very interested in various other subjects... Enjoy reading a fair bit, and also enjoy films and a wide variety of music.

Main genre's are Indie and older trance, although developing a liking for house and techno (and the entire scene associated with these music types).
