i thought gurmukhi was easier...
both are very similar, in any case
i'm not too familiar with devanagri but i can recognise some letters by their similarity to gurmukhi
i suggest the obvious resources - books, internet sites (the wikibooks page for punjabi is quite good actually)
do you go to a punjabi class?? that is probably the best option if you want to really learn properly
(most gurdwaras do classes on sundays)
tenses and grammar are the same as hindi but obviously the words are slightly different
the most common mistake is using 'hoo(n) ' instead of 'haa(n)' at the ends of sentences (even my siblings do that sometimes!)

i know alot through conversations, and i can hold my ground in most conversations, but often the grammar and tenses may be a little bit off or out of order... and I can hardly read or write punjabi at all, it just seems so hard. I learned the hindi script in a few months but gurmukhi just feels so much harder! how do you recommend me on improving my punjabi skills?

how hard is punjabi a-level? I've been thinking about doing it (eventually) but writing and reading is way too difficult for me!
